When we talk about the bible; Galatians 1.

photoHey there, so good to see you again.

Did you read my bit of house keeping yesterday? There’s also a list of books you might like to have a look at.

Might I suggest you read Galatians 1, or the whole of the book? And then, lets talk;

When I tell you about tomorrow.

photoHello, so glad you’re here. If you found me through my recent series, or if we’ve been friends for a while, you’re really welcome here.

Tomorrow we’ll start a series I’ve been planning, but I really wanted for us to just do a bit of house keeping today.

We’ll start looking at Galatians tomorrow, I studied theology, and I feel like theology is always worth a conversation, and I think the bible has a quite a lot to say about how we live our lives.

Thirty things to value in friendship. A guest post from Matt and Lisa Corbridge.

thirty_thingsThis is it, number 30. How’d we get here? I’ve been overwhelmed by this series, really I have. Thank you. Thank you for reading, thank you for commenting and thank you for contributing. It’s been an absolute blast. I am so very encouraged. I thought it perfect to end on a friendship one, since my first one was about friends, and all the people who’ve contributed are my friends. Thank you so much guys, I love you all very much.

Matt and Lisa are the best kind of people and the best kind of friends, when they agreed to do one of these; I knew it would be a good one. They’re wonderful. Thank you so much!

The Oxford dictionary describes friendship as “a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically one exclusive of sexual or family relations.” In fact it even adds “a contact on a social networking website.” Continue reading

Thirty things we enjoy about being single. A post by Debs Pearce and Sarah McCarten.

thirty_things I had a party a few weeks ago, and I asked for friends to help me write this post, granted most of them weren’t single, but Debs was the only one who stepped up. Thanks Debs, this has been a timely reminder of some things for me. It was great to write with you.

Thirty things about people I love. A guest post from Joy Smith.

thirty_things Joy is one of the loveliest people in my life. She’s always generous with her words, but genuine too. Which means she’ll call you on your crap. We met in Leeds where we spent hours and hours getting to know each other, although we can never work out how one awkward night in a bar turned into such a wonderful friendship, I’m so grateful that she lives but a stones throw away from me again.  Thanks Joy, I love you.

Thirty things that Sara(h)s do. A guest post from Luke Maxted.

Luke is married to my very best friend, Kelly. When the two of them were getting together, I said to Kelly, if you kiss Luke, then you’ve got to marry him because I still want to be friends with him. Luke is wise, funny, and humble. If you were his friend you’d be a very lucky human being. We’re very fortunate that Luke is here, because he just finished his masters and if I were him, I wouldn’t want to write a word for a very long time after that. Thank you Luke.
